Carbon Steel
Strong, low-cost and easy to weld. Oxygen-assist cutting gives fast, clean cuts on brackets, frames and base plates. Grades: Q235, SPCC, 1018.
Why Sango for Laser Cutting
Sango runs fiber lasers up to 12 kW on sheets up to 3000 × 1500 mm. Automatic nesting places parts tightly on each sheet, minimizing scrap material and lowering per-part production cost.
A laser cut is only as good as the file behind it. Our engineers check every DXF for open contours, kerf allowance and hole-to-edge spacing before cutting, ensuring fit on the first try.
Sango Online Custom Sheet Metal Solutions
CNC Bending
Turn laser-cut blanks into brackets, channels and boxes on CNC press brakes. Bend angles hold ±1° on sheets up to 6 mm.
Welding
Join cut panels into sealed frames and housings with TIG, MIG, spot and laser welding. Seams are dressed smooth before finishing.
Sheet Metal Enclosures
Get complete electrical boxes and chassis: cut, bent, fitted with PEM hardware and powder coated, ready to install.
Laser Cut Part Post-Processing Capabilities
Compare post-processing options by surface roughness, dimensional impact and primary benefit.
Why Choose Us
Engineers and procurement teams choose Sango laser cutting for parts that fit on the first try and arrive on schedule.
High Quality Parts
Cutting accuracy holds ±0.1 mm with ±0.05 mm repeatability. Every batch is verified with calipers, pin gauges, and optical 2D measuring systems.
Fast Lead Time
Simple flat parts ship in as little as 3 business days. Automatic nesting algorithms and 24/7 laser cutting cells keep orders moving.
Engineering-Driven Support
Our engineers review your file within 24 hours, flagging undersized holes, tight edges, or kerf issues before cutting begins.
What is Laser Cutting?
Laser cutting is a CNC-controlled process using a high-power focused fiber laser beam to melt and vaporize metal along a programmed path. Pure assist gas (oxygen or nitrogen) expels the molten material, leaving a narrow kerf and clean edge without mechanical tool wear.
Pros and Cons of Laser Cutting
✓ Advantages of Laser Cutting
Holds ±0.1 mm with a narrow kerf, so fine slots, small holes and sharp corners need little or no rework.
The laser follows your CAD file directly. Design changes cost nothing, making it ideal for fast prototypes.
Cuts thin sheet at high speed, and automatic tight nesting utilizes maximum material from every sheet.
⚠ Considerations & Limitations
Optimal below 20 mm steel and 12 mm aluminum. Thicker plate is better suited to waterjet or plasma cutting.
A narrow heat-affected zone forms on steel, and oxygen cutting leaves an oxide layer that may need cleaning.
Copper and brass reflect laser energy, capping practical cut thickness at about 5 mm.
