Surface Finishes for CNC Machined PartsPost-processing changes how a part looks, how it resists corrosion, and sometimes how big it is. Pick the finish at quoting stage so tolerance is calculated around it.
As Machined finish
As MachinedStandard finish leaving subtle tool marks (Ra 1.6–3.2 µm). Nothing added, nothing to allow for dimensionally.
Bead Blasting finish
Bead BlastingUniform matte finish that removes tool marks. Common as a base layer before anodising.
Anodizing finish
Anodizing (Type II & Type III)Corrosion resistance and colour for aluminium. Type II for appearance, Type III for wear (adds measurable thickness).
Powder Coating
Powder Coating & PaintingDurable colour coatings matched to RAL or Pantone. Thicker than anodising and suitable for steel as well as aluminium.

A broker forwards your file to a shop it doesn't control and forwards the answer back. We machine in our own facility, so when we commit to a tolerance or a date, we're committing to machines and people we manage. You also get engineering judgement rather than just a price — our DFM review will tell you that a 0.4 mm wall won't survive the cut, or that moving a tolerance from ±0.001″ to ±0.005″ on a non-critical face cuts your unit cost meaningfully.
